Ensure that all work is performed safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner
Work extra hours and variable shifts as required
Manage parts inventory; ensure timely and effective acquisition of materials; minimize on-hand inventory
Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner
Maintain all equipment records and files
Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as required
Ensures that all shop personnel, equipment, vehicles and work areas are in compliance with all safety policies and regulations at all times
Implement and follow a cost effective preventive maintenance program for all equipment (and facilities as applicable)
Ensure that the shop and surrounding grounds are clean and organized at all times
Minimize equipment downtime
Manage the day-to-day operation of the shop
Supervise all shop staff; through mentoring, coaching and accountability, provide leadership to all shop staff to instill a sense of ownership and career satisfaction

Strong self management and organizational skills with the ability to work unsupervised
Heavy Equipment considered an asset (421A)
Strong technical knowledge of equipment
