Manager II, Supply Chain

Description

The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain, procurement, and logistics strategy to maximize process efficiency and productivity. This role balances demand and supply through effective material planning, inventory management, purchasing, sourcing, and logistics to ensure on‑time delivery at economical cost and optimal lead‑time.

• Lead and inspire the supply chain team, providing strategic vision and coaching.
• Collaborate with regional and global leaders to drive cost savings and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, IT, Finance, Legal, HR and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct spend, commodity, vendor capacity and supply‑risk analyses.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed cost‑saving and supplier performance targets.
• Forecast demand, price trends and balance buyer‑supplier power.
• Manage supplier and service contracts, including drafting, negotiation and timely renewal.
• Optimize inventory levels in line with fiscal budget and demand‑supply balance.
• Prepare data analyses and reports for senior management presentations.
• Oversee supplier performance evaluations, audits and coordination with quality teams.
• Adhere to Rexnord Purchasing Ethics and Code of Conduct.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, has 20‑23 years of manufacturing supply‑chain experience in multinational companies, and possesses deep knowledge of steel markets, sourcing, logistics and quality methodologies. Strong people‑management, analytical, negotiation and multilingual communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office, SAP/ERP and relevant certifications.

• Hold B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 20‑23 years of manufacturing SCM experience in MNCs.
• Deep knowledge of steel market, outsourcing, and sourcing of steel, forgings, specialty steels and machined components.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SAP/ERP; familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, PPAP, APQP and other quality tools.
• Project Management and supply‑chain certifications are a plus.
• Experience in global logistics, warehouse, and inventory management.
• Strong people‑management, business acumen, negotiation, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Hindi and Telugu; ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Analytical mindset with commercial acumen on taxation, INCO terms and total cost of ownership.
