Direct Safety and compliance programs for MSI through effectively leadership.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Analyze, review, prepare and submit recommendations to the Safety Director and various leadership teams, for action plans to minimize company exposure to costs associated with Worker’s Compensation.
Administer the policies and procedures and manage staff relating to the Company’s Safety Program and regulatory requirements.
Partner with operations teams to develop best practices and training programs.
Responsible for working with the Safety Director to design and direct programs to reduce accidents, occupational illness, and exposure to long term health hazards.
Conduct worksite assessments to identify and evaluate safety and health risks, compliance exposures and management systems deficiencies. Develops strategies to reduce or eliminate these risks and exposures
Conduct analyses of incident causes and associated health hazards to be used to target specific prevention strategies and measure financial impact upon the Company. Prepares and maintains required documentation of incident reports, statistical analyses and other reports for use as required by company personnel and outside agencies.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with their hands and arms; and communicate verbally. The employee frequently walks, stands and occasionally sits.
Plan and deliver training programs for managers and employees on relevant accident prevention and compliance programs such as: Lockout/Tagout, Ergonomics, PPE, fire prevention and protection, and Hazard Communication.

The employee must regularly lift, pull and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Ability to travel to regional facilities for review, assessment and training needs. Travel up to 50% with first 2 months up to 75% of the time.
Ability to perform in a high pressure environment and/or crisis situation and render good decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of Conduct
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
Demonstrated experience leading or facilitating the development and implementation of business oriented projects.
Ability to deal in a high-pressure environment (occasionally in a crisis situation) and render good decisions to resolve the problems.
Five (5) plus years’ of safety and health leadership and management experience preferred.
Ability to act as a managerial advisor on professional and technical issues related to Safety.
In-depth knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practical application governing Safety in the workplace.
