Develop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Licensor / Client / PMC.
Develop / assist in documentation for progress reporting.
Resolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages.
Review of VPs.
Supporting the project through construction and commissioning phases.
Understanding of Inspection requirements. Review of shop and site test procedures.
Support project / proposal activities.
Participating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors.

Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential.
Ability to coordinate work with other engineering disciplines and other stake holders including other offices.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 11+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of other industry/regulatory codes and standards like CEMA, MSHA, OSHA, ISO, DIN, Licensor & Client specifications etc.
Familiarity with model reviews and use of SPR is desirable.
Knowledge & assessment of Suppliers capabilities.
Good knowledge of 2-D and 3-D computer aided design tools.
Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices of executing large projects.
Understand various types of materials to be used for different services and review of vendor proposed materials.
Implement / Capture Lesson Learnt. Active pursue of Value Engineering, design and cost optimization program.
The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language.
Knowledge of different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features.
Trouble shooting, resolution of Client and site queries.
Ability to quickly provide data for carrying out preliminary detailing / estimation by Mechanical and other Engineering disciplines.
