Provide proactive project change, risk and stakeholder management support.
Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve complex issues where precedent may be limited.
Apply proactive and effective communication with key stakeholders.
Ensure procurement packages are produced in accordance with project cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Develop project planning documents and client progress reports.
Coordination and/or facilitation of key meetings or review points: project kickoff meetings, IFR/IFC review, constructability review, construction kickoff, etc. and following all action items through to completion.
Support development of proposals, project cost estimates and project schedules.
Understand and ensure that client expectations related to project scope are met and exceeded.
Responsible for multiple projects, and be able to carry out multiple tasks within each project.
Establish and maintain positive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Review project documentation and perform Engineer of Record duties (specifications, IFR/IFC drawings, designs, equipment lists, labor estimates, etc.) prior to issue for accuracy, completeness and presentation.
Act as the primary technical interface for the projects and provide advice and guidance to the engineering disciplines.

Ability to provide strong technical and problemsolving skills.
Previous Distribution Design experience with BC Hydro or similar utility within Canada
In depth knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems, streetlight design, capital and maintenance projects, and customer new connect projects will be required.
Ability to challenge specifications and nonoptimal designs and provide value added alternatives.
Site travel is expected, and position will require a valid drivers license.
Registered Professional Engineer or Engineering Licensee.
Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team and with other discipline staff.
Proficiency with SAP, GIS tools, Bluebeam, AGI 32, Pull Planner.
Registered P.Eng with EGBC is required
Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills are critical for this role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a technical school diploma/certificate, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience
High level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget.
Experience in project controls and scheduling is considered an asset.
Knowledge of project management principles and processes.
Working knowledge of applicable industry, national, and provincial codes and standards.
