As a Senior Project Manager you will oversee complex, multi‑disciplinary work on major transportation projects, lead planning, delivery, and closeout activities, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, partner agencies, and industry collaborators. You will also play a key role in positioning GFT for future opportunities and support the growth of the firm and practice.
- Lead execution of major projects, overseeing multi‑disciplinary scopes of work
- Engage effectively with clients, partner agencies, consultants, and contractors
- Negotiate contract scopes and fees and supervise related documents for all parties
- Manage project financials, including cost control, earned value analysis, billing, and invoice review
- Coordinate resources across disciplines and partner firms to deliver defined scopes
- Prepare status updates and maintain communication with executive‑level stakeholders
- Lead and manage QA/QC processes in alignment with GFT’s Quality Management System
- Track scope changes, risks, and schedule performance
- Lead project meetings and guide implementation of execution plans
- Develop proposals, coordinate technical input, and present materials to clients and stakeholders
- Manage project closeout activities
- Support marketing and business development through client outreach and strategic pursuits

- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years of leadership on projects of $300M or greater
- 5+ years of experience in Alternative Delivery
- Excellent people and project management skills
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Proven ability to analyze issues, solve problems, and drive results
- Demonstrated success meeting deadlines in fast‑paced environments
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) License in New York
- Preferred: 5+ years of leadership on $1B+ megaprojects
- Preferred: Prior railroad experience
- Preferred: DBIA certification
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $210,000‑$260,000 per year, dependent on experience and geographic location. The position is full‑time, based in New Rochelle, NY, with typical construction‑hour work schedules.
