The ESH Coordinator actively supports Layton Construction project teams to ensure effective implementation of environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. The role involves monitoring safety conditions, investigating incidents, and providing training to maintain compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Monitor site safety conditions and enforce OSHA and company standards.
- Assist the ESH Manager in accident and near‑miss investigations, gathering initial data.
- Track workers' compensation issues and report accurate information.
- Conduct or assist with site‑specific safety orientations.
- Participate in pre‑construction meetings to identify safety needs.
- Support injury management to provide cost‑effective medical care.
- Perform industrial hygiene surveys, including gas, noise monitoring and respiration fit tests.
- Aid VP‑Field Operations and HR in complying with FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation laws.
- Deliver safety training to employees and subcontractors on‑site.
- Attend monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.

- BA/BS (preferred) with at least 1 year in construction or industrial ESH programs.
- Completed OSHA 30‑hour construction training and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.
