- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in an IMechE accredited University. Master’s level degree would be an advantage
- Previous experience in the design and delivery of a system or design project at university.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present technical topics to an audience.
- Full UK driving license or equivalent that permits driving in the UK.
- Understanding of the IMechE code of conduct and understand the requirements of becoming a registered Member of the IMechE.
- Previous work experience and/or membership of a group where you have had to work as a team.
- A basic understanding of design principles and ability to apply them.
- Ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
- Willing to engage in learning the relevant design tools, techniques and related methods e.g. IT systems, IT Software and by IT literate.
- Relevant Building services qualifications would be more advantageous
