The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that only quality‑approved product is packaged for the customer, encompassing extrusion or injection molding, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing, while keeping extrusion lines or molding machines running continuously and efficiently to meet or exceed customer expectations.
The role requires compliance with safety policies, reading production schedule boards, inspecting, feeding, and packing product for work‑in‑process or finished goods, maintaining standard production cycles on non‑robotic molding machines, detecting and trimming quality defects, assembling molded parts, ensuring proper lot information is printed, building and labeling boxes, and notifying supervisors of any safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
Employees must work eight‑ to twelve‑hour shifts, follow standard work instructions, perform basic math, visually distinguish colors, possess basic literacy for paperwork, and demonstrate a teamwork orientation.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with training or certification in a relevant skill or trade preferred, and candidates should have one to two years of experience in a related field.
Physical demands include standing for up to 8‑12 hours per shift, kneeling, squatting, bending, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, maintaining full range of motion in shoulders, knees, hips, elbows, wrists, and hands, performing repetitive tasks at cycle times as fast as every 30 seconds, wearing required personal protective equipment, and working in hot environments that can exceed 100°F.
