Quantity Surveyor

Description

The company is hiring a full‑time Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost and financial aspects of construction projects from initial estimates through to final accounts. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to keep projects on budget and maintain the highest quality standards.

• Estimate costs, material quantities, and project timelines by studying drawings and specifications.
• Provide early cost advice, benchmark projects, and develop life‑cycle cost plans.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities for clients and consultants.
• Conduct cost analysis for variations and claims, and advise on contractual disputes.
• Value completed work, arrange payments, and ensure client value for money.
• Track design and construction changes, adjusting budget projections accordingly.
• Review contractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and contractual compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to devise cost‑effective solutions and resolve construction issues.
• Produce and present regular cost reports, highlighting budget variances and potential risks to management.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate best practices into cost‑management processes.
• Ensure compliance with Hill International’s quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Possess at least 10 years experience on large‑scale infrastructure or city development projects, including water and wastewater projects.
• Demonstrate proven experience handling contractors’ progress payments and working on international projects.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
