The role focuses on negotiating and acquiring real estate rights to support transmission system needs. Responsibilities include securing easements, fee‑simple purchases, leases, encroachments, releases, and other property interests, as well as researching public land records, collaborating with landowners, attorneys, officials, and engineers, and assisting with legal proceedings.
Work is performed in various field locations after onboarding, requiring a reasonable daily commute, irregular schedules, and occasional evenings or weekends. Travel accounts for 15‑25 % of the role, and a valid state driver’s license and a notary certificate within six months of hire are required.
