Calculate statutory deductions (CPP, EI, income tax) and apply provincial rules for vacation pay, statutory holidays, and leaves.
Generate payroll reports for reconciliations, tax filings, and general ledger entries.
Stay current with legislative changes impacting payroll and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Provide guidance on provincial leave entitlements and statutory holiday calculations.
Conduct audits on payroll inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Respond to payroll inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax forms.
Prepare and file year-end documents such as T4, T4A, and RL-1 slips.
Manage CRA remittances and provincial health tax reporting.
Utilize payroll platforms (e.g., UKG Pro) for processing and reporting.
Administer full-cycle payroll for Canadian employees, including hourly, salaried, and contract staff.
Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements and provincial employment standards.
Validate job changes, salary adjustments, and benefit deductions.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.

Minimum 3+ years of Canadian payroll experience with multi-province exposure.
Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel; UKG Pro experience is a plus.
