The engineer will support electrical design on multi‑disciplinary project teams, delivering calculations, reports, and comprehensive design documentation while applying expertise to qualify structures, systems, and components.
- Produce engineering calculations, analyses, and detailed reports.
- Prepare design inputs such as electrical site plans, power and lighting layouts, one‑line diagrams, conduit schedules, and wiring diagrams.
- Generate procurement and construction specifications for electrical systems.
- Participate in project meetings, conduct field walk‑downs, and mentor less‑experienced engineers.
Requirements
Applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible for a government security clearance, hold a BSEE or MSEE from an ABET‑accredited program, and possess at least five years of progressive electrical engineering experience, ideally within a nuclear environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency or willingness to learn load‑flow/arc‑flash analysis software (ETAP/SKM) and lighting analysis tools (Visual, AGI32).
- Knowledge of NEC, UL508, and IES Lighting Handbook standards.
- Preferred qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license, DOE or Navy/commercial experience, and field engineering background.
