Description

The role focuses on implementing assigned work on the production line while ensuring high-quality output. The employee must be capable of filling any position on the line and performing equipment setup, including automated and robotic weld cells.

• Ensure product quality, workmanship, and process compliance with manufacturing objectives.
• Follow safety guidelines, monitor safety devices, and maintain housekeeping to prevent hazards.
• Adhere to company work rules and regulations.
• Perform and be certified for all welding operations, methods, and processes.
• Set up and operate automated and robotic weld cells.
• Restart robots and automated equipment after minor errors.
• Set up and operate resistance welders.
• Interpret welding specifications, read prints, and evaluate welds.
• Troubleshoot weld processes, automated fixtures, and machine issues.
• Maintain quality inspection records using scales and measurement instruments.
• Perform basic math calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Apply common‑sense reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems.
• Accurately enter critical data into the CMS system.
• Work near moving mechanical parts and occasional vibration in a loud environment.

Requirements

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably three years of similar preparatory experience. Required abilities include using measurement tools, maintaining inspection records, passing all necessary welder certifications, and proficiently handling basic math, reading, writing, and presentation tasks. Additionally, the individual must be able to accurately input critical data into the CMS.

The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional vibration, and loud noise levels. Physical demands include standing for the entire shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, turning, pushing, and reaching, with full vision requirements.
