Maintain a strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Present and review project scopes and cost models with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Assist in drafting and reviewing technical and commercial documentation such as interconnect and facility agreements.
Conduct capacity and feasibility studies for proposed interconnects.
Partner with project development, engineering, regulatory, environmental, and commercial teams to define project scope, requirements, and budgets.
Develop and prepare early-phase cost estimates for interconnects, metering, and facility projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor components.
Support the creation of Class III–V estimates for both greenfield and brownfield projects ranging from tactical upgrades to major ($10MM+) and mega ($200MM+) capital expansions.
Prepare desktop-level scopes, schematics, and budgetary estimates for reimbursable interconnect projects.
Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy, design methodology, and project delivery efficiency.
Champion continuous improvement, safety culture, and operational excellence.
Solicit and analyze vendor and supplier pricing to support budget estimates.
Work independently on mid-sized projects and technical assignments that impact operations and capital planning.
Lead or support small project teams to identify, evaluate, and resolve technical challenges.
Apply sound engineering judgment, innovation, and technical rigor while meeting project deadlines.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare and deliver project presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
