The Logistics Warehouse Specialist will be stationed in our Mesquite, Texas factory and is responsible for maintaining logistics operating procedures between sales and manufacturing, working across teams to assure efficient outbound of finished goods, and communicating with outside vendors and the local factory team to troubleshoot exceptions. This role serves as the on-site logistics representative for US module factory logistics operations and is key to the stable output of materials and accurate control of inventory. This is a dynamic role with different sets of challenges daily as the factory ramps up output.
- Work with the NA Logistics team to troubleshoot processing issues between production and sales.
- Coordinate direct shipping from the factory to customers.
- Work closely with 4PL onsite personnel and internal factory teams in Mesquite to maintain applicable SOPs and troubleshooting issues involving logistics.
- Support our CTPAT policies and procedures.
- Complete daily trailer program analysis which includes how many loads shipped, how many trailers are hired, status of hired trailers, how many drivers used, etc.
- Identify opportunities to improve process flow between Canadian Solar (USA) Inc. and Canadian Solar U.S. Module Manufacturing and assist in developing efficiencies in the transfer process between the two entities.
- Support any required logistics SAP transactions regarding sale and transfer of goods between our factory and our sales entity.
- Implement shipping programs from the factory site to either the local warehouse or direct to customers.
- Inspect outbound shipments for damages and work with the team to correct any issues.
- Preforming physical inventories when required.
- Act as on dock control tower for direct shipment program.
- Maintain analytics to illustrate movement between sales and manufacturing.
- Manage communications with outbound carriers; coordinate schedules, assure on time arrival compliance.
- Preform outbound security checks and vet drivers to assure that proper loads are assigned to legitimate carriers.
- Collect outbound documents and check for accuracy before loading.

This position is located in our Mesquite, location and requires 5 days per week office attendance in a busy factory setting. This is an on-dock warehouse position, candidates should be familiar with and comfortable with working in a non-temp controlled warehouse environment. This role requires a combination of standing/walking/sitting throughout the workday.
- Experience with analytical software such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.
- Able to work independently, understand priorities and communicate effectively
- Comfortable and experienced working in warehouse environment and making on the spot decisions
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems used to track inventory
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key contacts internally and externally.
- This position will require long times standing and walking.
- PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications
- Detail oriented, organized, self motivated
- Prior experience in the solar industry and/or managing high volume inventory
- Grit, resourcefulness, and resilience to thrive and succeed in unclear situations
- Minimum 4 years of warehouse/inventory related work experience
- Expert Excel and data analysis skills
- 4-year BA/BS degree or substitute equivalent work experience
- Highly flexible, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines consistently

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonus or other incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
