The Yard Loader is tasked with safely loading and unloading all deliveries at ADS, maintaining proper vehicle operation and providing excellent customer service to both company and non‑company drivers as well as will‑call customers. The role requires flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week, including weekends, and reports directly to the Yard Supervisor or Yard Manager.
Key duties include embracing a safety‑first culture, consistently using personal protective equipment, and operating a forklift while performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment. The loader conducts final visual inspections, labels finished goods, ensures proper product rotation, tracks inventory levels, and stays current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements. Continuous improvement of processes and facility housekeeping, as well as participation in ADS training programs, are also expected.
Successful candidates are self‑motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Required skills include basic inventory management, forklift operation, dependability, teamwork, and basic mathematical abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
