Adhere to industrial specifications and procedures.
Perform Charpy impact, tensile, hardness and bend testing to recognized industry standards while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy.
Prepare test specimens to meet recognized industry standards by machining, grinding and broaching them with the highest degree of accuracy.
Receive and import data required to generate final report.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Perform scheduled maintenance of all machining equipment, this includes but is not limited to daily/weekly/monthly/yearly.

Must be comfortable working in an environment with machinery and moving parts.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform duties of MLL Lab Technician I as well as cross-train and be cross-trained as needed.
Experience with using milling machines and band saws.
Ability to work well with others under stress.
2 years of experience as a mechanical lab technician.
Knowledge and use of safety and PPE = Personal Protective Equipment required in all positions and of everyone working in the lab.
Knowledge of mechanical testing procedures which include tensile testing, Charpy impact testing, and hardness testing.
Ability to meet the demands of customer time constraints.
Experience with ISO 17025 lab accreditation.
Experience performing tensile tests, Charpy impact tests, and hardness tests.
CNC vertical machine center operations experience
Good analytical skills and be able to identify departures from procedures for performing tests and calibrations and initiate corrective and preventive actions accordingly.
Must have good depth perception.
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experience working in a machining or processing environment.
Experience with data acquisition and electronic data entry.
