Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Description

• Plan, program, and coordinate projects with the Project Manager to meet budget, schedule, and quality goals
• Manage civil engineering design and project management across planning, feasibility, detailed design, and construction support
• Produce engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory or funding agency applications
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, including calculations, sketches, models, and documentation such as site plans and grading plans
• Prepare engineering proposals, change orders, and client communications for specific projects
• Coordinate technical activities across disciplines and serve as liaison between senior engineers and design teams
• Ensure technical outputs are safe, meet project scope, and pass independent quality review
• Participate in Stantec information‑sharing networks and knowledge forums
• Support business development by contributing to proposal and bid material
• Connecting employees through the Developing Professionals Group

Requirements

The workload focuses on water supply and sewerage schemes with key authorities in New South Wales, and the team also engages in projects across the APAC region.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Chartership or progress toward chartership is highly regarded
• 4+ years (Civil Engineer) or 6+ years (Senior Civil Engineer) of consulting or engineering experience in the water industry
• Proven design experience in water and wastewater projects
• Strong technical background in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban authorities (desirable)
• Expertise in engaging with clients, local authorities, government bodies, and commercial stakeholders
