The role’s primary responsibility is the proper operation of the Leachate Management System (LMS) in compliance with regulatory and WM standards. This includes monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of LMS equipment and data.
- Coordinate daily activities with leachate technician to meet management expectations
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment (pumps, check valves, floats, level transducers, air compressors) in the LMS
- Collaborate with site contractors and consultants to improve the LMS
- Operate and troubleshoot LMS via SCADA system
- Perform LMS inspections and complete compliance tasks
- Monitor control panels to ensure proper LMS operation
- Maintain records of LMS maintenance activities
- Review daily LMS data (flow, alarms, sump depths, loadout volume) for system performance
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and instrumentation components of the LMS
