The OSP Planning Assistant will plan, execute, and oversee multiple telecommunications projects, focusing on Fiber‑to‑the‑Home (FTTH) deployments. The role blends strong project‑management capabilities with analytical expertise, using spreadsheets to organize raw engineering and usage data for prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking. Success depends on applying data‑driven insights to manage complex, cross‑functional FTTH initiatives.
Key duties include managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards, and coordinating engineers, construction crews, vendors, and external partners. The assistant will collect, clean, and analyze large datasets, develop scoring models to rank build areas, and produce trackers, dashboards, and reports that translate technical information into clear summaries for leadership. Continuous improvement of tracking tools, templates, and workflows is also required.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, business, information systems or comparable experience, and have proven project‑management experience in a telecom or infrastructure setting. Required skills include a solid understanding of telecommunications principles, familiarity with FTTH design and activation, and advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis. Preferred qualifications include FTTH program management experience, knowledge of OSP/ISP concepts, relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM), and experience with project‑management platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana.
The position is remote, operating on Mountain Standard Time hours, with company‑provided vehicle, phone, and laptop. Compensation ranges from $30 USD to $33 USD per hour, supplemented by performance and referral bonuses, stipends, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development. Pearce is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to pay equity and transparent hiring practices.
