Construction Observer

Description

• Review of payment applications, change orders, and as-constructed drawings.
• Complete daily reports of progress on site.
• Oversight of construction observation activities throughout the duration of construction projects.
• Daily correspondence with contractors is required in order to maintain daily reports of progress on site and resolve any issues that may occur.

Requirements

• Ability to complete electronic forms on tablets or computers in a timely manner
• Experience working on wastewater treatment plants or pump stations is highly preferred.
• Current Driver’s License is required for travel to and from field worksites. Travel to additional GBA offices and/or client locations is occasionally required.
• Experience working in the heavy construction industry preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required.
• Excellent oral and written communications. Communication with contractors, GBA staff, and client staff on a daily basis should be expected.
• Some overnight travel may be necessary for this position.
• Ability to lift 25 – 50 lbs. Ability to carry safety equipment to worksites when out in the field.
• High school diploma.
• Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually.
