The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, contributing to a positive guest experience through tasks such as check‑in and check‑out. The role supports overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with flipping mattresses and moving furniture as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist room attendants to maintain high standards of quality.
- Hang draperies as required.
- Collect soiled linens for laundry and store linen supplies in linen closets.
- Clean bathrooms and replenish supplies.
- Refurnish rooms with supplies, towels, etc., as required.
- Supply own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
- Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll‑away beds to guest rooms.
- Clean swimming pool as needed.
- Remove debris and clean driveways and garage areas.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
- Wash walls, windows, door panels, sills, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Replace light bulbs.
- Maintain uniform and wear a name identification badge while working on the property.
- Support and adhere to core values, mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Perform repetitive motions, lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods; lift up to 100 lb.
- Pitch‑in to help co‑workers and act as a team player.
- Provide flexible availability to work any shift/day, including holidays and weekends.
- Use a radio to communicate with the front desk and housekeeping supervisors.
