

Manages toll roads and transportation infrastructure in the North Texas region.
ensuring all regulations are followed, participating in the consultant and vendor selection process, ensuring schedules are met, reviewing and authorizing payments.
Provides on-site property assessments, recommends corresponding action plans to address deficiencies, and ensure compliance with plans and safety standards for assigned projects. Coordinate assigned property improvements projects while managing projects within budget.
Provides input to the Facilities long-range capital improvement and routine maintenance budgets by recommending necessary projects based on facility inspections and assessments, the future needs of the agency, and internal customer requirements.
Completes assigned project tasks and manages consultant and vendor contracts by preparing the contracts, developing specifications, reviewing plans and specifications,
Completes administrative tasks by responding to inquiries on assigned projects, researching utility permits, filing drawings, researching inventory for plans and specifications, researching information, preparing correspondence, taking photos, conducting project tours, creating purchasing requisitions, entering information into GIS systems, and completing related projects.
Assists with the development of the annual budget by researching information, recommending purchases, expenditures, capital equipment, monitoring ongoing expenditures, and recommending budget adjustments. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in project execution.
Respond to emails and phone calls received outside of normal business hours as necessary.
Develop project scopes and bid solicitations in following with Agency procurement policies. Assists in the development of capital and property improvement budget estimates and monitors project expenditures. Coordinates with Agency Procurement Staff to develop and award construction and other facilities-related contracts.
The Capital Improvement Architect reports directly to the Capital Improvement Manager. This position will manage and coordinate all assigned activities of space planning, property improvements, renovations, and capital improvement projects to include existing and newly planned facilities. This position will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, designers, and engineers to plan, design, and execute facilities improvement and construction projects. This position will ensure that all assigned projects meet project specification requirements for both plans and materials. Other duties include responding to emergencies, responding to weather-related emergencies, and completing special projects as assigned. Will be required to work scheduled shift during Snow and Ice events performing various tasks as trained.
Valid Texas Driver’s license
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field from accredited college or university.
This is a designated essential employee position as defined in the NTTA Employee Handbook which required to maintain agency operations during an emergency or inclement weather situations.
Microsoft 360 and Microsoft Project competency
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Architect in the State of Texas
AutoCAD and Revit competency
Four (4) years of professional experience managing vertical construction projects
