Manage, mentor, and develop a engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
Champion the adoption of innovative technologies, best practices, and engineering standards within the team and across projects.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.)
Undertake HVAC system, fire system and plumbing design for North America and international projects with a good understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant standards.
Collaborate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural teams to integrate systems effectively.
Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Delivery of allocated technical assignments including authoring HVAC system, Fire Strategy, Fire System design including detection, alarm and hydrants. The sprinkler and gaseous system design experience will be added advantage.
Liaising with the lead region to demonstrate an understanding of scope, knowledge, and experience to provide innovative design solutions as per best engineering practices.
Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments.
Will work along with other cross disciplines such as architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, instrumentation/controls engineers, and process design engineers.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Knowledge of Auto CAD MEP, MEP Revit, Navisworks is a must. Other industry software for Heat Load calculations is preferable viz. HAP.
Must have previously worked during various phases of the project cycle from feasibility to commissioning of HVAC systems.
Possess strong technical background and capability to design HVAC systems for large Industries.
Knowledge of international codes, standards and practices related to USA water industry is preferable.
Experience specifically for municipal and/or industrial water and wastewater facilities preferred.
Compliance with the Arcadis Health and Safety standards.
An out of the box thinker with the ability to deliver under pressure
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment and bring value from assimilated wider knowledge of other disciplines.
Minimum 15 years’ experience as HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection (providing design expertise and leading projects).
Hydraulic analysis software for sprinkler and standpipe systems like HASS or similar.
Strong understanding of plumbing and fire protection design and systems including natural and propane gas sizing, compressed air system, chemical laboratory systems, special fire suppression systems and sump/sewage pump systems design.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Ability to prepare and check general specifications, mechanical specifications, contract documents etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
Ability to design HVAC (using HAP, IES, ventilation calculations, pressure drop calculations of ducts and pipes, selection of equipment), Fire Protection and Plumbing systems independently.
Functional area expert, capable of leading a HVAC, Plumbing and FPS discipline team, delivering multiple discipline complex projects.
