  • Reason for Opening: Staffing changes and a backlog of projects; role supports both clearing backlog and future planning.
  • Review and enhance plant documentation, including procedures and P&IDs, to improve clarity and usability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to scope and plan process and reliability improvement projects.
  • Develop and execute pressure safety design packages.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of plant training programs.
  • Strategic Focus: Contribute to shaping the future of operations, not just maintaining the present.
  • Partner with site technical and operations teams to resolve outstanding PHA, MOC, and optimization action items across 1–4 chemical processes.
  • Validate and report environmental data for permitting and annual compliance.
  • Drive long-term enhancements in documentation, safety, and compliance.
  • Support and implement process reliability and training improvements.

  • Proven ability to lead small teams and work independently.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes and risk management (OSHA PSM/EPA RMP).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills—both technical and non-technical.
  • Ideal Candidate Background: Strong technical foundation, adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn—industry-specific experience (e.g., pharmaceutical or chemical) is a plus but not required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in relevant software tools.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Clear backlog of technical and operational action items.
