At Home Group, the concierge ensures that vulnerable residents and those with complex care needs live in safe, secure, and welcoming environments. Typical duties include patrolling the building, checking CCTV, fire doors and communal areas, greeting visitors, addressing minor repairs or cleaning, and acting as the first line of support when other services are unavailable. The post also involves calmly responding to incidents and collaborating with colleagues and external partners to manage anti‑social behaviour.

• Patrol buildings, inspect CCTV, fire doors, and communal areas each shift

Requirements

Successful candidates are calm under pressure, possess strong communication and judgement, and have a passion for supporting others either professionally or personally. They must be able to recognise potential issues and intervene sensitively, be comfortable working alone at night, and be willing to undergo a paid enhanced DBS check. Competency with technology for CCTV monitoring and record‑keeping is required.

Benefits

The Housing Concierge position is based in Penzance, Cornwall, offering £12.60 per hour (£24,638 pro‑rated annually) plus a health cash plan. Two permanent full‑time roles (37.5 hours weekly) work three nights on a rotating schedule that includes weekends, and one permanent part‑time role (33.5 hours) works one night and two weekend days. The role does not provide a Certificate of Sponsorship.
