In the GBS Accounting team the accountant handles general accounting and internal control – preparing journal entries, performing intercompany reconciliations, executing month‑end close, maintaining account reconciliations, and producing financial reports – while partnering with business units and functional leaders to drive standardisation.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and perform financial analysis
- Complete monthly general ledger, inventory, fixed assets and bank reconciliations, resolving open items
- Execute month‑end closing to deliver accurate financial results per corporate calendar
- Support intercompany accounting, including AR, AP and loan statement reconciliations
- Conduct cash and FX forecasting processes
- Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries (customer service)
- Assist in procedure development and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with SOX, standardized procedures and internal controls
- Prepare government reports and census forms

- Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA or ICAEW qualified
- Experience with accounting/financial systems; Oracle preferred
- Experience preparing UK statutory accounts and converting from US GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, US GAAP and UK GAAP statutory reporting
- Understanding of internal control principles and SOX compliance
- Initiative, problem‑solving and resolution abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with ability to meet strict deadlines
- Outstanding customer service attitude and teamwork
