Review, maintain, and issue required purchase orders to preferred vendors
Execute material return procedures and ensure credits are obtained from suppliers
Detailed review of vendor invoices against purchase orders placed to ensure accuracy and resolve exceptions through reconciliation
Source and purchase materials for our field foremen
Review, maintain, and recommend appropriate levels of inventoried materials and consumables
Participate in operational huddles to share known supply chain issues on product availability, price and new opportunities
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms and seek new opportunities for added value
Effective and timely communication of order status, source and lead time to active project teams
Maintain purchase order records in an organized process
Schedule and expedite material deliveries as required

3+ years of procurement/wholesale experience, ideally within the Construction and Mechanical industry
Resourceful, problem-solver able to provide timely solutions
Ability to travel between Edmonton and Calgary offices, project sites and supplier locations
Highly organized individual, able to maintain multiple responsibilities and prioritize for successful execution.
Effective communicator with the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with employees, suppliers and other stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring top-notch customer service.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction industry experience is preferred
