The role is a full‑time Project Manager (35 hours per week) with a salary of £55,000‑£65,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering construction projects up to £25 million from feasibility through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, compliance and value for money.
Key responsibilities include leading major construction projects through all RIBA stages, developing robust programmes, monitoring construction delivery and coordinating stakeholders to meet project deliverables. The manager will also manage budgets, timelines and quality standards, ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, health & safety and environmental standards, and prepare regular reports, risk assessments and strategic documents.
Essential qualifications comprise proven experience managing construction projects over £20 million, a strong understanding of RIBA stages and construction processes, and experience administering JCT or NEC contracts. Candidates must demonstrate programme management capability, knowledge of UK planning and building regulations, professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) or equivalent senior experience, and strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable experience includes knowledge of residential care developments, land acquisition and negotiation, engagement with local authorities and community stakeholders, and the ability to innovate in design or delivery. Additional competencies such as high‑level written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, stakeholder sensitivity, and people‑management and budgeting skills are valued.
