Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans
Prepares metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products
Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data
Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps and Right of Way surveys
Prepare topographic contour and Right of Way maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes
Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information

Level II Certified Survey Technician certification
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
5+ years of survey experience
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
Surveyor-in-Training certification by Texas Board of Land Surveying, or
Strong communication skills both oral and written
OpenRoads and CADD software experience is required and TxDOT experience is a plus
