Sr. Solar Systems Engineer

• Continuously refine CAD standards and design processes to drive quality and consistency
• Create complete design packages — including site plans, SLDs, conduit schedules, and interconnection drawings
• Model system performance using PVSyst, Helioscope, HOMER, or SAM
• Ensure compliance with NEC, CEC, UL, IEEE, and utility interconnection standards
• Conduct site walks, gather field data, and perform feasibility assessments
• Lead and execute detailed engineering designs for solar PV + energy storage projects (C&I scale)
• Coordinate project management, construction, and permitting teams to deliver seamless execution

• Solid grasp of NEC 690/705/706, UL 1741-SA, and IEEE 1547 standards
• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing commercial and industrial solar PV + ESS systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and system modeling tools
• Familiarity with IOU interconnection processes (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E)
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required
• Understanding of DC/AC coupled storage systems and inverter technologies (Tesla, Fluence, PCS, etc.)
• EIT or NABCEP certification preferred; leadership or mentoring experience a plus
