The ESG Team is seeking a highly motivated ESG Graduate Intern to join our team, develop their analytical and technical skills and contribute to a broad range of ESG initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity sector, with a strong emphasis on environmental and social risk management, impact measurement and ESG reporting regarding CFM’s existing funds namely, Climate Investor One, Climate Investor Two, Climate Investor Three and Malaysia Climate Infrastructure Fund (MCIF).

- Practical experience and professional development with data management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, Environmental Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, passion for learning, and an interest in sustainable development.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English language.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with the ability to perform independent research and analysis.
- Technically proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Adaptability and resilience
- Good understanding of environmental and social impacts and risks in the renewable energy, water and waste sectors.
- Attention to detail
- Strong interest in responsible investment and sustainable finance. Knowledge of private equity or investment management is a plus.
- Experience working with industry-standard ESG tools, frameworks, and data.
- Analytical thinking
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exposure to ESG integration in fund management and private equity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders and presenting proposals.

The ideal candidate will support the ESG team for projects in Asia by maintaining data accuracy, designing visualization tools, and assisting in the preparation of various documents. This is a full-time fixed term contract for Fresh Graduates, starting in February 2026 and provides an opportunity to gain work experience in a unique and innovative scale-up environment with a result-based, not activity-based setting.
