- Independent inspection of roadway construction, and/or structure, and materials to assure compliance with the contract.
- Inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix; proper placement of asphalt spreading, rolling, depth, alignment and compaction; roadway and bridge structures conformance to plans; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; traffic control and erosion control devices.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Certifications related to areas listed above a plus.
- High school diploma/GED required
- Ability to take notes and prepare reports.

- Valid GA Driver's License
- Willingness to learn new skills and work outside.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of general mathematical and geometry functions.
- Prior experience in quality control or a similar role is a plus
