The Quality Supervisor oversees daily quality operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role leads a team focused on critical quality aspects, drives continuous‑improvement initiatives, and supports production in meeting quality objectives.
Key activities include conducting start‑of‑shift quality checks, performing line audits, monitoring in‑process inspections, and addressing quality alerts promptly with production teams. The supervisor reviews scrap and rework reports, conducts layered process audits, updates quality control plans, provides operator training, and tracks corrective and preventive actions. Monthly duties involve analyzing customer complaints, reviewing Right‑the‑First‑Time (RTFT) KPIs, participating in cross‑functional improvement projects, and validating new product launches for compliance.
Continuous responsibilities encompass maintaining ISO compliance on the shop floor, leading root‑cause analysis for recurring issues using tools such as 8D or Fishbone, and supporting engineering and maintenance in resolving quality‑related equipment problems. The supervisor promotes a culture of quality and accountability, and maintains visual management boards displaying quality metrics.
Candidates should have at least three years of manufacturing quality experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Required skills include strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems, proficiency with problem‑solving tools (8D, RCA), and excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Technical familiarity with measurement tools, inspection techniques, and statistical analysis is also essential.
