Field Services Technician

Description

• Execute engine service according to maintenance protocol (oil management, filter/valve replacement, measurements).
• Perform minor repairs in addition to planned maintenance.
• Conduct major engine service with colleagues, following major service protocol.
• Rebuild in‑frames, including engine, gearbox, and generator.
• Monitor maintenance activities for compliance with EHS protocol.
• Analyze engine failures across mechanical, electronic, and software domains using historical data.
• Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical engine issues.
• Prepare detailed site visit reports covering symptoms, actions, parts, hours, results, and follow‑up.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Process timesheets, expense reports, EHS forms, and job reports promptly.
• Comply with all EHS policies and procedures for a safe work site.
• Meet insurability standards for company vehicle operation.

Requirements

• Work effectively both in a team and independently.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Travel up to 80 % of the time and work remotely as required.
• Have legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• Minimum 4 years experience with reciprocating or renewable‑gas engines (preferred).
• Commissioning experience (preferred).
• Mechanical Technician certification or higher.
• Electrical Technician certification or higher.
• Familiarity with Jenbacher reciprocating gas/diesel engines.
• Ability to understand and implement technical procedures.
• Effective communication with team, management, and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Strong customer focus and ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Proficient computer skills, including PLC knowledge.
