Yard Loader Operator

Description

• Operate yard loader according to company guidelines and safety standards
• Complete daily pre‑ and post‑inspections of work areas, ensuring adequate berms and roadways
• Perform pre‑shift equipment safety inspections and report needed repairs
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles, and crushers
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance (tire pressure, oil, grease, fuel, hoses, etc.)
• Maintain product stockpile quality
• Manage safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operate additional equipment such as excavators and haul trucks safely when needed
• Assist in training co‑workers as required

Requirements

Martin Marietta is seeking a Yard Loader to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety‑conscious, dependable, and motivated, and will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a yard loader while maintaining product stockpile quality. The operator must maintain safe working speeds and lead truck drivers to promote site safety.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Experience operating and maintaining mobile or construction equipment in processing plants is required, with front‑end loader experience preferred.
