Multiskilled Shift Engineer- Electrical bias

Description

• Shift Operations: Respond to breakdowns and maintain operational continuity across the site.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all work meets regulatory and site standards, with accurate record-keeping.
• Mechanical Maintenance: Service and repair of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, compressed air systems, and water treatment plant.
• Building Services: Maintain plumbing, drainage, and general building systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reliability of plant and equipment.

Requirements

• PLC controls and automation experience.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Steam systems and boiler operation knowledge.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• F-Gas certification.
• GMP experience in pharmaceutical or regulated environments.
• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent (City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation).
• IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification.
• Confined space and working at height training.
• Proven mechanical maintenance experience (HVAC, pumps, motors, compressed air systems).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (days and nights).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and team collaboration.
