- Conduct destructive and non‑destructive tests on construction materials, including structural surveys, corrosion analysis, and material verification.
- Observe, inspect, test, and sample masonry and concrete materials in line with project specifications.
- Document and report field findings accurately and clearly.
- Communicate daily with contractors, project managers, and technicians to ensure alignment on site conditions and testing needs.
- Maintain field equipment and promptly report missing or damaged items.
- Support calculations, data reduction, and drafting tasks as needed.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities.
- Mentor junior technicians and support training efforts.

At ECS, we’re expanding our inspection team in Arizona and seeking experienced Specialty Inspectors with expertise in masonry and concrete. The role is ideal for ICC‑certified, detail‑oriented professionals who want to lead high‑impact construction projects and enjoy long‑term career growth within an employee‑owned company.
Candidates should have at least two years of field experience in construction inspection, a high school diploma or GED, and prior work on heavy construction QA/QC projects. They must hold a current ICC Masonry Special Inspector certification and at least one additional special‑inspector credential, be proficient with tablets or laptops for data entry, and be able to read construction drawings. Preferred qualifications include ICC Concrete Special Inspector certification, additional certifications in structural steel, soils, or aggregates, and strong familiarity with Arizona building codes.
