The Sr Manager Operations Technology – EV will lead the design, construction, and operation of electric‑vehicle charging infrastructure that supports Republic Services’ EV strategy. The role creates standardized, continuously‑improved processes and works with cross‑functional teams to prioritize deployments that align with operational incentives, sales, and government affairs. It also supports broader electric‑vehicle deployments and technical initiatives, ensuring projects deliver expected business benefits on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include shaping the company‑wide EV strategy, managing the EV infrastructure team and partnerships with hardware, software vendors, and OEMs, and overseeing construction and maintenance of charging sites. The manager drives issue resolution with root‑cause analysis, reports performance metrics to leadership, and develops site‑specific operations and maintenance training to minimize OPEX and maximize uptime. They define routing and infrastructure requirements—including performance, scalability, safety, permitting, and grid resiliency—while staying current on emerging fleet‑charging technologies.
The role also handles EV incentives, public‑policy advocacy, and municipal contracts to prioritize deployment, and oversees multiple construction sites and projects across diverse geographic locations. Collaboration with finance, procurement, government affairs, sales, construction, and field operations leadership is required to align resources and report progress. Additional duties are performed as assigned.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience managing cross‑disciplinary teams that design, operate, or maintain large‑scale infrastructure systems, with specific experience in developing EV infrastructure for fleets. Required skills include reading construction drawings, researching new technologies, strong verbal and written communication, influencing ability, continuous‑improvement mindset, organizational and prioritization expertise, and an understanding of business finance and vehicle development. Fleet operations or electric‑vehicle experience is preferred.
Minimum qualifications include five years of enterprise‑wide project‑management experience, knowledge of electrical safety and operation of electrical or fuel systems, and proficiency with the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). The position offers a rewarding compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program.
