Senior Accountant, Midwest Region

Description

• Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
• Oversee project accounting activities. Work with sales team, utilizing Salesforce, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs, revenues, and profitability. Ensure compliance with ASC-606 matching principle.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business objectives.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist in the conversion to Microsoft Business Central ERP system, ensuring a smooth transition and integration with existing financial processes.

Requirements

AirTech is seeking a experienced Midwest Senior Accountant with a strong background in project accounting, inter-company, and knowledge of Microsoft Business Central. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and GAAP compliance of financial statements, supporting various financial projects, and assisting in the conversion to Microsoft Business Central ERP system. This position will report into the Midwest Controller and assist with the key responsibilities across all operating companies.

• CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 year in project accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Power BI), Microsoft Business Central, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 with flexibility based on experience.
