Tasks

-Assist with punch list development and completion tracking -Help maintain clean and organized job sites -Communicate with subcontractors regarding schedules and project requirements -Assist with completing safety documentation and incident reports -Help resolve minor field issues and coordinate solutions with superintendent -Assist in coordinating daily construction activities and trade schedules -Ensure workers have proper PPE and follow safety protocols -Build relationships with trade partners and project stakeholders -Support daily safety inspections and hazard identification -Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks -Assist with layout and surveying activities as needed -Support RFI and submittal processes -Support coordination between field and office teams -Maintain organized project files and documentation -Monitor work for compliance with plans and specifications -Help monitor subcontractor work for quality and progress -Support material deliveries and equipment coordination -Help track and document daily activities, labor, and equipment usage -Participate in project meetings and pre-construction planning -Conduct site walks and document project progress through photos and reports

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects. This role provides hands-on experience in all aspects of jobsite management while working under the guidance of experienced superintendents. The Assistant Superintendent will help coordinate daily activities, ensure safety compliance, and learn the skills necessary to advance into a full Superintendent role. Communication and Learning -Basic understanding of construction methods and building processes -Good communication and interpersonal skills -Proficiency with basic computer software and mobile technology -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications -Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation -Learn construction methods, scheduling, and project management techniques -3+ years of construction experience -Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions -Strong work ethic and willingness to learn -OSHA 10-Hour certification required or must obtain within 30 days -Capable of walking job sites, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven terrain -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally -Must be able to work extended hours as project demands require
