Underwater inspection of marine structures include; visual inspection, underwater video and photography, collecting thickness measurements of steel components, localized cleaning of piles, taking measurements, and collecting samples.
Evaluate condition and significance of deterioration.
Travel as required to perform inspections throughout B.C.
Analyze deteriorated components and assesses remaining service life.
Conduct condition assessments including above water and underwater (dive) inspections (inspections take place outdoors in adverse weather conditions).
Operating specialized inspections equipment and the use of a multitude of hand tools.

Experience operating boats and driving a truck with boat trailer.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and comfortable in and around the water and boats.
Hold a valid First Aid and CPR, Dive Accident Management (DAM), and Oxygen Therapy (O2) certificate from an approved provider.
Degree in Technical Diploma.
Possesses a practical understanding of marine operations and general construction.
Unrestricted (preferred) (or Restricted) Surface Supply Commercial Diving Certificate from the Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC).
Hold an up to date “Fit to Dive” divers’ medical certificate with no restrictions.
Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally in B.C and within Canada, as required.
Diving experience related to underwater inspection.
Strong teamwork culture.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients and other team members.
Hold a valid Transport Canada Small Non-Pleasure Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (SDV-BS) (MED A3) and/or Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)
