Process & Quality Control: Monitor daily workflow to ensure timely processing of master data requests. Implement quality checks to minimize duplicate or incorrect customer records. Maintain and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process guidelines. Support audits by preparing data extracts and explanations of change histories.
Training & Continuous Improvement: Train colleagues on new processes, data validation rules, or system functionalities. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Help optimize workflows to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, customer service teams, Credit Management Team and Order to Cash Team to understand their data requirements and provide accurate and timely customer data support. Work with IT teams during system upgrades, data migrations, or workflow automation changes. Ensure alignment between business needs and data standards
Team Coordination & Leadership: Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress. Provide first-level support to data specialists by answering questions or resolving escalations. Guide newer team members on data standards, tools, and best practices. Act as point of contact between the team and next level senior management within MDG.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement related to customer master data management. Implement efficient workflows, automation, and best practices to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Data Integration and Synchronization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and synchronization of customer data across various systems and platforms.
Data Maintenance and Governance: Oversee the maintenance and governance of customer data records, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Validate data against internal policies and compliance rules. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures in line with ABB’s internal Policy and Procedures.
Reporting & Performance Tracking: Generate reports and provide insights into customer data metrics, trends, patterns and data quality metrics (SLI & KPI). Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities, bottlenecks or recurring errors and propose corrective actions for process optimization.

3 to 4 years of experience in managing customer data governance (MDG) in SAP S4/HANA.

In-depth knowledge of data management principles and practices, including data governance and data quality.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce. SAP certifications in MDG / S/4HANA (advantage)
