Production Hauler

Description

The Production Hauler moves finished goods safely from the production floor to the stocking yard and supports both on‑line and off‑line manufacturing activities. Reporting to the Production or Yard Supervisor, the role requires flexible scheduling, including 40+ hours weekly and occasional weekends. Key duties include operating forklifts, tracking production output, maintaining paperwork, performing visual quality checks, and assisting with truck loading and end‑of‑shift housekeeping.

• Follow PPE guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Transfer finished goods from production floor to stocking yard.
• Assist with on‑line and off‑line production tasks and conversions.
• Operate forklifts safely and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Track production quantities and complete required paperwork.
• Conduct visual inspections of product quality.
• Load trucks and stack pipe products according to procedures.
• Perform end‑of‑shift housekeeping and facility upkeep.
• Participate in company training to build job skills.
• Communicate unsafe conditions or injuries to supervisors promptly.
• Lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lb) to a height of 6 ft repeatedly.
• Stand, walk, and remain mobile for at least 8 continuous hours.
• Work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods.
• Perform twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and climbing on equipment.

Requirements

The position calls for a high school diploma or equivalent and a mix of practical skills such as self‑motivation, dependability, teamwork, and basic mathematics. Candidates must be comfortable operating forklifts, communicating effectively in writing and verbally, and exhibiting energetic, proactive behavior on the shop floor.

The role is physically intensive, requiring repeated lifting of up to 75 lb to a height of six feet, and standing or moving for a minimum of eight continuous hours. Workers must tolerate hot or cold environments and perform full‑range body motions—including twisting, bending, reaching, and squatting—while mounting and dismounting industrial equipment.
