Environmental Scientist I

Description

• Make a tangible impact by helping deliver sustainable solutions to communities on a variety of diverse projects
• Conduct field work, including field investigations, sampling, drilling oversight, and construction operation assistance
• Assist with the preparation of environmental plans (SPCC, SPR, and SWPPP), documentation, reporting, and permits for a variety of clients
• Provide support to senior scientists and/or engineers to evaluate the potential impact of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Collect, analyze, and report on geological, hydrological, biological, or other scientific conditions at project sites

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work in the field under various weather conditions and physically navigate diverse environments
• Strong ability to work in a team environment with effective verbal and written communication skills
• No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective scientific discipline
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field required
