The EPC Assistant Project Manager I role supports the oversight of construction projects that aim to deliver exceptional client results, profitability, and lasting relationships. MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc., provides specialty contracting services across the United States, focusing on EPC delivery for transmission, substation, solar, and energy storage projects.
In this position, the assistant will work closely with the Project Manager and internal teams to develop solutions, review specifications, maintain client communications, and ensure projects stay on schedule while adhering to safety policies and company ethics.
- Assist Project Manager in a wide range of service management duties
- Proactively develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may arise
- Study bid specifications and drawings carefully
- Deliver on projects in a timely manner
- Attend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as needed
- Build and maintain long‑lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments
- Ensure safety procedures and policies are in place and followed
- Prepare look‑ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports
- Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and industry standards

Candidates should have at least one year of experience as an estimator or project engineer in electrical construction, a relevant bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), and strong proficiency with Excel and Word. Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as OSHA certification, are required.
