The Business Support Coordinator role is pivotal in ensuring high‑quality outcomes by overseeing compliance with delivery, finance, and client processes while partnering across operations. The position supports Sector Directors with operational and administrative tasks, coordinates governance activities, and collaborates with various internal teams to monitor project performance. It also involves maintaining accurate data in Salesforce and producing reports for business line meetings. By championing a quality mindset, the coordinator helps apply AECOM policies and best practices consistently across the sector. This role contributes directly to the strategic initiatives and optimal project delivery that define AECOM’s impact.
Key responsibilities include managing diaries, inboxes, meeting logistics, event planning, and expense processing for senior leaders. The coordinator tracks governance activities such as GNGs, risk reviews, Healthy Starts, NPS, and client surveys, ensuring timely completion and follow‑up. Collaboration with Operations Managers, Project Administration, Controls, GBS, and EC teams drives improvements in cash collection, data quality, and time compliance. The role also supports client, market, pursuit, and opportunity reporting by keeping Salesforce information current and generating relevant reports. Upholding AECOM’s policies, procedures, and best practices is essential for consistent project delivery.
Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years of experience in a similar business support role and can step in quickly with minimal ramp‑up. Strong communication skills, independence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. High professionalism, confidentiality, and stakeholder engagement at all levels are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a willingness to learn new systems are expected, with experience in internal systems considered advantageous. Adaptability and self‑direction enable the coordinator to navigate changing priorities and support evolving business needs efficiently.
