Description

• Ensure survey crew safety via hands‑on training, daily tailgate safety meetings, and enforcement of job safety analyses.
• Lead and mentor field survey staff to achieve high performance and skill development.
• Maintain organized field notes, sketches, and survey control documentation meeting project and regulatory standards.
• Collect, verify, and process survey field data using proper naming conventions for clean office hand‑off.
• Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Land Surveyors to set goals, track progress, and resolve field challenges.
• Follow client and company field protocols to guarantee data accuracy across specifications and project types.
• Perform control checks, traverse angle closures, and level太 run validations before data submission.
• Track and document crew timesheets, vehicle use, and equipment condition to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, GIS, and planning departments to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Travel regularly to project sites in Pennsylvania and New York

• Excel in the field, leading crews and solving challenges outdoors; expertise drives results.
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Associate’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Party Chief
• Proficiency with Leica GPS, scanning, and Total Station equipment (highly preferred)
• Demonstrated high‑quality work, critical thinking, and sound judgment in problem solving
• Ownership mindset, effective task prioritization, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Adaptability and proactiveness in meeting deliverables and deadlines
• Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity for better ways
• Constructive reception of feedback for growth
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and operate company vehicle
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and traverse uneven ground
• Work in physically challenging outdoor conditions in all weather
