The Manufacturing Engineer works directly with production operators and key stakeholders to improve manufacturability, repeatability, and process controls for XP Power’s HVHP products. The role supports expanding production capacity, implementing 6S LEAN methodologies, and enhancing quality through greater process efficiency.
- Design, commission, and continuously improve electromechanical assemblies, fixtures, and processes.
- Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
- Support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production issues.
- Audit Bills of Materials and assembly procedures to capture tribal knowledge.
- Validate production processes and verify execution on the line.
- Maintain test equipment and key manufacturing tools.
- Fabricate or modify prototype components and fixtures for production and NPI.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity and quality.
- Utilize data systems to monitor first‑pass yield and apply structured problem solving.
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects and Kaizen events.

- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with high‑voltage power electronics.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5–7 years equivalent experience.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience and familiarity with related methodologies.
- Ability to meet strict customer‑driven deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001 standards (a plus).
